About Stellar & StellarSTB Inc.
Stellar is a media player operated by StellarSTB Inc., a company registered and operating in Canada. Stellar is a neutral software tool: we do not provide, host, stream, or sell TV channels, movies, series, or playlists.
You connect sources you choose (for example Stalker portal, M3U playlist URL, or Xtream Codes credentials). Your device communicates directly with those sources when you play media. StellarSTB Inc. does not operate a content catalog, streaming infrastructure, or subscription service for television programming.
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of:
- The Stellar media player application on supported TV platforms (including Android TV, Samsung TV, LG TV, and others);
- Our website at stellarstb.com, including account registration, device activation, and subscription management; and
- Related backend services that authenticate devices and manage software licenses.
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service and uninstall the app.
1. Scope of Agreement
Stellar (the “Service”) is owned and operated by StellarSTB Inc. By using the Service, you enter into a legally binding contract with StellarSTB Inc.
These Terms apply to all users of the Service, whether you access it through the Stellar app on a TV device, through our website, or through any related activation or licensing flow. Additional terms presented at purchase (for example subscription plan details) are incorporated by reference where applicable.
If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. Content Disclaimer
- Zero content provision: StellarSTB Inc. does not provide, host, stream, resell, or distribute any media content. The Service is software that plays media from sources you configure.
- No affiliation: StellarSTB Inc. is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or responsible for any third-party IPTV provider, portal operator, playlist seller, or content source.
- User-provided content: All content played through Stellar is added solely by you. We have no control over, and accept no responsibility for, the availability, quality, legality, or accuracy of content from third-party sources.
- Third-party terms: Your use of external content sources is subject to those providers’ own terms, policies, and applicable law.
3. Legal Use
- Anti-piracy: Stellar does not condone unauthorized use of copyrighted material. You must comply with all applicable copyright, broadcasting, and content-access laws in your jurisdiction.
- User warranty: By adding a source or playing content through Stellar, you represent and warrant that you have the legal right to access that content.
- Prohibited use: You agree not to use the Service for content or activities that violate applicable law, infringe intellectual property rights, or facilitate unauthorized access to protected works.
- Enforcement: We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or applicable law, without liability to you.
4. Website Accounts
Certain features require a website account at stellarstb.com, including device activation, license management, and subscription purchases.
- Registration: You must provide accurate, current information when creating an account and keep it updated.
- Account security: You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
- One person, one account: Do not share account access in a way that violates license limits or these Terms.
- Termination: You may close your account by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a security or abuse risk.
5. Software License & Payments
Software license only: Payments to StellarSTB Inc. are exclusively for a license to use the Stellar media player software—not for any TV service, channel package, playlist, or media content. We do not sell access to television programming.
- Payment processing: Purchases on our website are processed by Stripe. By completing a purchase, you also agree to Stripe’s applicable terms where relevant.
- Subscription plans: Available plans (including trial, yearly, and lifetime options where offered) are described on our website at the time of purchase. Plan features, pricing, and device limits may vary.
- Trial terms: Free or promotional trial periods, if offered, are subject to the terms displayed at sign-up. Trials may convert to paid subscriptions unless cancelled before the trial ends, as described at purchase.
- Refunds: Refund eligibility and procedures are described on our website and at the point of purchase. Except where required by law, payments for activated software licenses are generally non-refundable once a license has been used or a trial has converted.
- Taxes: Prices may exclude applicable taxes, which will be calculated and displayed at checkout where required.
- Provider issues: Buffering, missing channels, server outages, or other problems with third-party content sources are matters for your content provider—not StellarSTB Inc. or the Stellar software.
6. Device Licensing & Activation
Your software license is tied to device activation through our backend services. To use the Stellar app on a supported TV, you must activate the device using a pairing code or activation flow linked to your account.
- Device limits: Your subscription plan may limit the number of devices that can be active under your account. Deactivating a device may be required before activating a new one.
- License verification: The app periodically verifies license status with our servers. If verification fails (for example due to expiry or account issues), certain features may be restricted until resolved.
- Platform support: Stellar is designed for supported TV platforms. Functionality may vary by device, operating system, and app version.
- Updates: We may release app updates that are recommended or required for continued use, security, or compatibility. You are responsible for keeping the app updated where your platform allows.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service except where permitted by law;
- Circumvent license verification, device limits, or security measures (including Firebase App Check or Play Integrity);
- Use the Service to distribute malware, interfere with our backend, or abuse API endpoints;
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Stellar software or activation credentials except as expressly permitted;
- Misrepresent your relationship with StellarSTB Inc. or imply that we provide media content;
- Use the Service in any manner that violates these Terms or applicable law.
8. Intellectual Property
The Stellar application, website, logos, trademarks, documentation, and all related software and content provided by StellarSTB Inc. are owned by StellarSTB Inc. or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
Subject to these Terms and payment of applicable fees, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Stellar software on supported devices for personal, non-commercial use (unless a commercial license is expressly offered).
You retain any rights you may have in content you lawfully access through third-party sources. StellarSTB Inc. claims no ownership over user-configured playlists, credentials, or media streams.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- StellarSTB Inc. is not liable for legal actions against you arising from unauthorized streaming, copyright infringement, or illegal access to content through sources you configure;
- We are not liable for data breaches, service interruptions, or content issues on third-party servers or IPTV providers;
- We are not liable for hardware damage, device malfunction, or data loss caused by third-party software, firmware, or content sources;
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill;
- Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to StellarSTB Inc. for the software license in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or one hundred Canadian dollars (CAD $100), whichever is greater.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability. In those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Without limiting the foregoing, StellarSTB Inc. does not warrant that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device or third-party source;
- Content from user-configured sources will be available, accurate, or lawful;
- Defects will be corrected within a particular timeframe.
You use the Service at your own risk. You are solely responsible for evaluating the legality and suitability of content sources you add.
11. Privacy Policy
Our Privacy Policy is a separate document from these Terms. It explains what information Stellar and StellarSTB Inc. collect on your device and on our servers (for example device licensing, analytics, and optional features such as weather and subtitles), what stays on your TV, and your privacy rights under Canadian law.
By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understand our Privacy Policy. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and the Privacy Policy regarding personal data, the Privacy Policy governs.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top and post the new version on our website.
If changes are material, we may provide additional notice (for example by email or in the app). Continued use of the Service after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
Where required, we may prompt you to accept updated Terms in the app before continued use.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Canada and the applicable laws of the province in which StellarSTB Inc. is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
You agree that any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Canada, except where applicable consumer protection law grants you non-waivable rights to bring proceedings in your place of residence.
